What kind of packages does your salmon come in?
Our fresh-frozen salmon fillets come to you in convenient vacuum-packed portions. Each package weighs approximately 1/2 pound to 3/4 pound, perfect for two servings.

How should I thaw my fresh-frozen vacuum-packed fillets?
For best results, thaw the packages in the refrigerator overnight. If you are in a hurry, run cold water over the package in the sink. Do not use a microwave oven.

Why is Smoky Bay Fisheries sockeye salmon so good?
We provide only premium grade, select wild Alaska sockeye salmon. Sockeye (red) salmon is renowned for its superior taste and texture; and sockeye fillets boast an appealing, rich, natural, red color. Each and every one of our fish is handled with care, bled and iced as soon it comes out of the water; and at the end of each day our fish are brought ashore and taken directly to our custom processor who fillets, vacuum packs and freezes them to give you that "just caught" taste. All of our fish are caught by company owner Jack Hughes who oversees every detail of his fishing operation. Jack is proud of his fish and makes sure that he brings you the highest quality product available. Our customers rave about our fish and many say it's the best salmon they have ever tasted.
